Depressions is a Teren Inc. developed derivative created to identify the location and relative depth of accumulation for depressions within the HUC. Representing low lying areas where water is likely to collect/pool or emerge from groundwater sources. Using multiple DEM derivatives to examine negative elevation differences created the Depressions layer. The final surface has values where higher values represent sinks or accumulating areas where moisture is likely to collect (e.g., playas, potholes, basins, and any other depressions.). The values identify the potential accumulated depths within the depressions. The lower values represent low accumulation where elevated values represent increased.<\/span><\/p>
